Changing from DV to Red RAW has many advantages. One of them is that of a vastly improved possiblity to change things in post production. White balance is not baked in, and certain changes to exposure can be done without much penalty.

And thus an idea for a movie poster was born…

Suddenly I find myself enjoying making mock-up posters for RED. Here is the newest creation (click for full size):

This weekend will again host the very popular, and looked-forward to, Academy Awards, better knows as the Oscar. Movieposteraddict has put up a great collection of all the posters of the Best Picture award winners of the past 79 years.

My favourite poster would be The Godfather. Simple in style, and very, very visual. Still works a quarter century later.

My favourite film would be Lawrence of Arabia.
