Thanks to Ouriel’s very readable blog, I found out about Outbrain, which promises to be a great tool for bloggers of most platforms. Basically it lets users rate your content, and over time it can build a list of recommended article for each and every reader, according to his/her likes & dislikes.
I just started using it on my blog here, and hope you all can give it a workout by rating my posts. I get feedback on what you like and don’t like, and you will get (over time) recommendations and (pretty soon) better articles from me.
It’ll be good for you, too
Oh, and it only takes a (as in one) click. Thanks for your co-operation.

Nice find. And i gotta say this is a unique idea and can be an effective tool if it works properly. I might test it with my blog as well or I will just wait for your results to see if its good or not.

Thanks, Fahad.
If you want to see the plug-in working properly, hop over to Ouriel’s Blog, where it gives some good results.
Sorry to see that you had trouble on your blog, I once missed all my posts, and had to re-capture about 200 of them. Tried to leave a comment on your blog, but only get a 404 error. Hang in there
If you need a host recommendation, I can plug http://www.mediatemple.com for you

Thanks for the kind words Martin.
And yeah, it is a very frustrating experience when you lose all your posts but thankfully I had BlogBackupOnline enabled, so my posts were saved.
But since it stores the posts from RSS it cuts off after the more function so I had to use google cache to recover all the content after the more part on every post that I used it. It took quite a bit of time and effort but at least I now know the importance of taking regular backups. I will be posting an article about blogbackuponline in the coming days when my blog is settled again. And my permalink structure was messed up so thats why you were getting a 404 error. It has been fixed now.
From the looks of it, you had to restore 200 posts while I only had 37. I can only imagine the effort and frustration that you had to go through.
Btw why do you have a post in april 1999???

I’m very happy with the newer WordPress versions, as they allow for automated backup of the database. Thus, I get e-mailed a copy of the full database once a week. If my computer crashes, I can still retrieve that from the e-mail server. And, best of all, I don’t have to do anything for this to work
This is how backup should be!
Oh, and that April 1999 post is a somewhat lame joke. Just look at the date and the content.

Thanks for the information. I’ll try using it on the days to come.

Thanks for pointing this widget. I will get it installed on my blog. btw the link to outbrain leads to 404 error page and index.html needs to be removed to get to the actual page
