All the best wishes to all of you. Have a very merry Christmas (or whatever you like to call it – just please not “Festive Season”). Time to enjoy some calmness, togetherness with the family, and time to talk. And in case I do not get to blog before the end of the month, I wish you all a very good 2008.

And remember, X-mas should not be about receiving expensive gifts.

By tradition, Christmas decorations should not be erected prior to Christmas Eve, lest this visible proof of anticipation of a festival anger capricious forces. Evergreens especially (and that includes your tree) should not be brought into the house before this time. Comfort should therefore be drawn from the knowledge that greedy merchants who put up their Christmas finery in early November daily court the malicious attentions of evil spirits. (via)
