Stripes!
I like the bottom bar, it leaves your sidebar less cluttered. I might have to look into that …

Stripes indeed. And a cleaner layout. I also got rid of a lot of information on the sidebars.
And now I can take this opportunity to out Yvonne as the culprit who started me thinking about a new layout. She just refurbished her site.

I haven’t decided if I like the stripes or not, but I love the layout. Very clean and easy top to read. I’ve been meaning to change my theme for months. Can’t decide what I want.

‘Tis nice indeed. Is this theme widget-enabled? If so, where did you get your “Categories” widget?

Thanks
No, not widgetized; I’m a bit of old-school that way. I find it much more flexible to do hard-coding (the light way)
Deisgn credit goes out to the nice people at N-design Studio – they even include a Photoshop file. Some light changes by me, some more to come in the unforseeable future…

I didn’t even know that stripes were a trademark of 2.0 design, but these here are so subtle that I can live with it. Let’s see how long those flowers will survive (in the real world they have a tendency of either drying out or dying from exessive watering. But that is a totally different story.

Thanks indeed. I’d been playing around a bit too long with my old theme, and it became totally over-feature-rich. Now I’m a bit more back to the basics: content, baby.
Let’s see if I can stick it out
BTW: You theme is also very readable.

I also got rid of the tags and archives. Though ocasionally interesting, they take a lot of screen space, and become visually uninteresting when you read a couple of my pages. Thus I turned them into a page that can be acessed when needed via the tabs. And if not needed, they take very little screen space.
Am flabberghasted at your CSS skills. I’m the lazy type who does mild changes to existing themes

I think it looks awesome, maybe you could design one for me, lol.

Thanks – but about 99% of the Credit goes to ndesign. (I generously awarded myself 1% for finding it and some minor modifications)
